Tongariro Junction Backpacker/Hostel Rooms
Our private backpacker rooms are basic and have been designed with the angler in mind. Tongariro Junction Accommodation has plenty of off-street parking for you and your boat. It's also ideal for backpackers who would like to spend a night out of their tent/van or long-distance travelers in need of an overnight pit-stop to break up a long drive. Turangi is the half-way point on the 8 hour drive between Auckland and Wellington. Please see the different bedroom layouts listed below.
Please Note: These backpacker and hostel rooms are basic, private bedrooms containing made-up bed/s, heating and small handbasin. These backpacker and hostel rooms share communal bathrooms (showers and toilets) located in the same building and a communal camp kitchen which is located in a neighboring building. Access to free WiFi on-site.

Facilities include: private bedroom with 1 Queen bed and handbasin in the room. Uses communal bathroom facilities (toilets/showers) located in the same building and a communal camp kitchen with free WiFi access. The communal showers and the camp kitchen use Infinity gas water heating for continuous hot water.
2x 2 Single Bunks (Sleeps 4)
Facilities include: private basin in room, communal toilets and showers located in the same building, camp kitchen with site-wide WiFi access. All showers and the camp kitchen run on Infinity gas water heating for continuous hot water.
